The Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is a small reserve that lies on the beautiful flood plain of the Sapt Kosi in eastern Nepal. It runs north from the massive Kosi Barrage and the Indian border. it is, nonetheless, home to the last surviving group of wild buffalo (around 200) and several spices of deer. A total of 280 different species of birds – including many migratory birds – have been recorded. . Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve can be reached by the East-West High way which runs alongside it, or you can fly to Kathmandu to Biratnagar (45 minutes) from where the reverse headquarters is just a short hop away. Rafting down the Sunkoshi river is an exciting way to get their. In Koshi Tappu wildlife camp is only one hotel.
